This was the 19th 250 GTO ever made. This one was commissioned for the 1962 Tour du France and under the experienced hands of French driver, Jo Schlesser, it was second in the race. Later that year, it was completely totaled when Henri Oreiller died in a fatal crash during a race near Paris. Fabrizio Violati, an Italian Businessman refurbished the car and added it to his private collection at his museum and stayed there for over 49 years. It only made the rare outing at high-end events in Europe. At his passing in 2010, his family sold his entire collection for $100m. The 250 GTO was sold for $38.1m in 2014 which brings the value in naira to N11, 658, 600,000.

With many collectors waiting to won any given collector’s item, this particular car was one of such. Only four Ferrari 335 S Spider Scagliettis were ever produced! The interesting thing about this very expensive car is that no matter how pricey it may be, the owner can only show it off at races as it was not designed for roads. You just cannot take it for a spin on a drive to your grandma’s or a trip to the dry cleaner’s. it was previously owned by a private French collector for 40 years. Today, the owner is none other than Lionel Messi, the arguable World’s Best Footballer. He bought his owner’s right with $35.7m or N10, 924,200,000.

The third World’s most expensive car is from another car manufacturer, Mercedes Benz. So, technically, it is the most expensive Mercedes car in the world right now. It is one of the most expensive cars to ever make history. It won nine of the 12 races it entered for in the 1954 Grand Prix and was driven by Juan Manuel Fangio. In addition, it was the fastest car in the world at the time it was made. It was sold in 2014 at the  price of $29.6 million. You need N9, 057,600,000
